Terms and Conditions for Spec and Fix Locking Solutions
- Introduction
Welcome to Spec and Fix Locking Solutions. These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Spec and Fix Locking Solutions (referred to as “we”, “our”, “us”) and our clients (referred to as “you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- Payment Terms
2.1. Domestic Customers:
- Domestic customers are granted a credit term of 7 days from the date of completion of the works.
2.2. Commercial Customers:
- Commercial customers are granted a credit term of 30 days from the date of completion of the works.
2.3. Upfront Payment:
- For projects exceeding £7,000 net or for new customers, a 50% upfront payment is required before commencement of the work.
2.4. Payment Methods:
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or any other method as agreed upon.
- Project Initiation
3.1. Projects will not commence until the required upfront payment (if applicable) is received.
3.2. In the case of non-payment or delayed payment, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel the project.
- Additional Charges
4.1. Any additional works or variations requested by the client that were not included in the original quote will be charged separately.
4.2. We will provide a revised quote for any additional works which must be agreed upon before the additional work is carried out.
- Cancellation and Refunds
5.1. Domestic Customers:
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start date will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 10% of the total project cost.
5.2. Commercial Customers:
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled start date will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 15% of the total project cost.
5.3. Refunds:
- Refunds for any payments made will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation, less any applicable cancellation fees.
- Warranty and Liability
6.1. We offer a 12-month warranty on all work carried out, covering any defects or issues arising from our services.
6.2. The warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, neglect, or any other external factors not related to our workmanship.
6.3. Our liability is limited to the value of the project carried out. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
- Customer Obligations
7.1. You agree to provide access to the property at the agreed times to allow us to carry out the works.
7.2. You must ensure the work area is clear of any obstructions and is safe for our staff to work.
7.3. Any delays caused by the customer may result in additional charges.
- Dispute Resolution
8.1. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or our services must first be addressed through negotiation in good faith.
8.2. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be referred to mediation.
- Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you and will become effective immediately upon such notification.
